I am an educator and photographer working almost entirely in black and white. I was born and raised in Gibraltar and moved to Southern California in 1995. I am now lucky enough to live on Orcas Island in Washington State where I moved to in 2020.
Images without color of natural and man made environments present us with a stark view of our world, one devoid of comfort and familiarity. In doing so they give us pause, thereby permitting exposure to, and consideration of, something more than just aesthetics and place.
